    TBS-3 turbidity sensor

    TBS-3 is turbidity sensor. It transmits an infrared light into the water and receives the opposite light with an optical component. According to the relationship between light power and water turbidity, the light power can be converted into the corresponding turbidity as voltage signal.

     Electrical Specification :
    1、DC 5 V   Rated voltage:DC5V

    2、Rated current:30mA

    3、  Withstand voltage: . Apply 1500V, 50Hz or 1800V/s between the terminal and the housing for 1 min. There should be no flashover or breakdown.
                   Leakage current: leakage current between PCB and shell < 0.25mA

    4、Insulation resistance: insulation resistance between conductive part and exposed non-conductive part>100MQ




          Mechanical and environmental performance
    1、Appearance: The terminal is not bent. The housing is not broken. The printing is clear.

    2、 Fluid: clean water.

    3、 Working temperature: 5℃~90℃
      

    4、Low temperature: Place the sensor in an environment of -20 ℃. Apply 5v for 24h,  ΔV is no more than ±10%.


    5、 Thermal shock:  Place the sensor in 90℃ for 30min and apply 100 cycles, ΔV is no more than ±10%

    6、 Constant humidity and temperature test: Place the sensor in an environment of 85 ℃﹐85 %R.H. for 90h,  ΔV is no more than ±10%.

    7、Salt spray: Place the sensor in salt spray box for 96h. No rust that damage the sensor functions.

    8、 Vibration: Vibration frequency 22Hz, 4.3G, amplitude 3mm X, Y and Z directions for 10 minutes each, there should be no deformation on the sensor. ΔV is no more than ±10%.


    9、Drop test: The product drops from a height of 800mm onto hard ground. There should be no damage or deformation in appearance. The product insulation resistance meets the requirement.


    10、Power supply: non-isolated power supply (can not touch water)

    PS: Output (ΔV)

           Liquid: (1) use pure water NTU<0.5 as test liquid.

                      (2)Use milk &water mixed liquid NTU=1000±50 as test liquid.


    1.  The out put ΔV is the difference between V1 (the corresponding voltage when NTU<0.5) and V2(the corresponding voltage when NTU=1000). See Figure 1.

    2. The output ΔV in(25±5)℃ environment should conform to below calculation:The turbidity water voltage =4.0V/the voltage of clean water*the voltage of city water ΔV = 4.0 - The turbidity water voltage     ΔV=1.15±0.2
