Problem Resolution and Innovative Thinking Skills (2 or 3 day program)
This program is designed for organizations that want to combine learning with the resolution of a specific issue or opportunity, The content is similar to the Innovative Thinking Skills program but more time is spent on content. Sometimes our clients just need some help solving a complex problem or taking advantage of a difficult opportunity. Most often these interventions include the facilitation of a high power brainstorming session over 1 to 3 days.

We have considerable experience helping clients in these situations and we rigorously apply the Ideaction 4-step methodology.

Step 1 - Framework

  • What problem or opportunity do you want to work on?
  • What is the context?
  • What are the boundaries?
  • What type of thinking do we want (incremental or revolutionary, short or long term, etc.)?
  • Who is the “owner” of the issue?
  • What is the best process and who are the right people to resolve the issue

Step 2 - Issue Redefinition

  • What are all the components of the issue, all the different ways to attack the issue?
  • How does the issue look from various points of view?
  • What is the best way to attack the issue?

Step 3 - Idea Generation

  • What are the best creativity techniques to resolve the issue?
  • What are all the possible solutions?
  • Which are the best solutions to resolve the real issue?

Step 4 - Implementation Planning

  • What is the best way to implement the idea(s)?
  • What could go wrong during the implementation?
  • What can we do about it?
